How to download your statement from Lloyds

Lloyds conversion quirks we handle

  • Separate money-in and money-out columns: Lloyds uses two amount columns rather than one signed amount column. We sign each row from the column it appears in so credits and debits do not get mixed up.

  • UK date formats: Lloyds statements use day-first dates, typically a day, short month name and year (for example 01 Dec 23). We preserve the day-first format instead of interpreting it as a US month-first date.

  • Long payment references: card payments, Faster Payments, direct debits and standing orders can wrap onto a second line. We keep those continuation lines with the original transaction description.

  • Repeated headers and footers: multi-page PDFs repeat Lloyds account details, statement period text and page numbers. These are skipped so they do not appear as fake transactions.

  • Balance reconciliation: Lloyds statements include a running balance column. The converter uses that column to check the exported totals against the statement period.
